چکیده

Dragon fruit is a popular tropical that has high phenolic content which are the main contributors to antioxidant potential and health benefits of dragon pulp peel waste. Although some compounds in have previously been reported, comprehensive analysis complete profile Australian varieties not conducted. Thus, aim this study was extract, identify quantify phenolics from fruits grown Australia. Phenolic were extracted peels pulps white red fruit. determined by total (TPC), flavonoid (TFC) tannin (TTC), while activities measured 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), ferric reducing power (FRAP), 2,2?-Azino-bis-3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid (ABTS) capacity (TAC). The results showed had higher stronger than peel, flavonoids tannins pulp. Liquid chromatography electrospray ionization quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-QTOF-MS/MS) used for characterization compounds, 80 including acids (25), (38), lignans (6), stilbene (3) other polyphenols (8) characterized all fruits. High performance liquid equipped with photodiode array detector (HPLC-PDA) quantified different portion concentrations highlighted both sources particular being source as ingredients food pharmaceutical industries.

detection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...

Antioxidant and anti-fatigue activities of phenolic extract from the seed coat of Euryale ferox Salisb. and identification of three phenolic compounds by LC-ESI-MS/MS.

This study investigated the antioxidant potential and anti-fatigue effects of phenolics extracted from the seed coat of Euryale ferox Salisb. The in vitro antioxidant potentials, including scavenging DPPH, hydroxyl radical activities and reducing power were evaluated. Antioxidant status in vivo was analyzed by SOD, CAT, GSH-Px activities and the MDA content in liver and kidneys of D-galactose-i...

Determination of Phenolic Compounds in Pinus eldarica by HPLC

Background: The antioxidant components have been identified in some pine species. Antioxidant properties of proantocyanidins reduce free radicals induced by DNA fragmentation and lipid proxidation and also proanthocyanidines could curb lipid peroxidation. Objective: In this study, we analyzed different parts of Pinus eldarica (bark, seed and needle) and assessed their antioxidant contents. ...
